This photo was taken a few months ago at a place called Horner, a few miles from where I live. I came upon it accidentally. I would have liked to have walked a little up a hill, round the corner from me to take a pic of a war memorial to show you instead but couldn't manage it just yet. Until recently stag hunting and fox hunting were commonplace in Somerset, and sadly still take place, but illegally. Nevertheless, this memorial is steeped in history of the area and I think of it as a memorial for the stags and foxes too.
Both of our memorials have to do with the late 1800's, LiZZie.
