A lovely place to visit, LiZZie...looks to be a nice climb too!
Did this once have a roof? I googled it, but didn't find as much information. It looks like an interesting place...and a nice place to walk the dogs!
It was a bit of a climb, but because there are steps it isn't too bad. The chapel is called St Michaels I think, and the abbot from the abbey at the time of Henry VIII was beheaded there, I believe. There's a lot of history attached to the place. Probably worth googling if you want to know more. At its foot are The Chalice Gardens which is where some people go as a pilgrimage or to meditate. V special. Try http://www.crystalinks.com/glastonburytor.html
Thanks, I will do that!
Looks like a happy canine !
